Resort appoints Mary-Louise Corcoran as new Resort Manager
29th November 2022 (Natadola, Fiji): The iconic InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa is excited to announce the appointment of Mary-Lou Corcoran as Resort Manager of the luxury property situated on one of the best beaches in Fiji, Natadola Beach. Mary-Lou joins the Fijian Resort from her role as the General Manager of Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge in Tasmania, Australia.
Australian-born Mary-Lou brings over thirty years of hotel, gaming, project management and parliamentary experience to Fiji to her new role. Mary-Lou started her hospitality career with Lasseters Casino in Alice Springs, and her dynamic career journey took her throughout Australia, Auckland, Indonesia and Vanuatu.

Before her most recent role, Mary-Lou held the position of General Manager overseeing the AU$45 million redevelopment of the Bridgeport Hotel in South Australia, which has one hundred rooms, six bars, three restaurants, three meeting rooms and a gaming room. Mary-Lou has also held General Manager roles at Kangaroo Island in South Australia and Alice Springs for the 1834 Hotel Group.

In contrast to working in hotels, Mary-Lou has multi-industry experience for nine years, taking on key government roles in the South Australian Parliament; Personal Assistant to the Deputy Speaker of the House, Ministerial Advisor, Chief of Staff and Director of Caucus Communications for the Premier of South Australia. Mary-Lou also had the privilege of serving as the Mayor of the City of Victor Harbour from 2006 to 2010.
Mary-Lou has always contributed to the industry in her career, being a part of the various associations and bodies in each destination she has worked in; Tourism Kangaroo Island, Tourism Central Australia, National Sea Change Task Force and the Regional Development Australia Board, to name a few.
Mary-Lou has always had a passion for sports outside of work, loving the interaction with team sports and the great outdoors, Hockey, Softball, Tennis, Football & Netball. With a focus on coaching and training school teams that her three beautiful children were involved.
