InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa welcomes new Head Mixologist and Sommelier

13th March 2024 (Natadola, Fiji): InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, nestled along the pristine shores of one of the world’s finest beaches, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jordache Taylor as the new Head Mixologist and Sommelier. In line with InterContinental Hotels & Resorts' commitment to delivering unparalleled experiences, his arrival promises to elevate the beverage offerings to new heights.  

With over twelve years of international bar experience and a passion for creating unique and memorable beverage experiences, Jordache Taylor, also known as JT, brings expertise and innovation to InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa. Having worked across different continents and renowned luxury brands such as the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, and Atlantis Resorts, Jordache's recent stint at Atlantis Resorts in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and his ventures in the Mediterranean peninsular have solidified his reputation as a standout mixologist. He has graduated with qualifications in Wines, Spirits, and Sake, and also serves as a Whiskey ambassador.

Jordache is committed to training and development for aspiring mixologists on the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa Food & Beverage team and across different IHG Hotels & Resorts in Fiji. He is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and experience to grow the skillset of the team, helping them keep up with the evolving craft of cocktail making.  

Jordache's journey in the world of mixology began at Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Dubai, where he honed his skills and developed a flair for innovative setups and crafting world-class cocktails. Guests at InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa can anticipate a heightened level of beverage experience as Jordache plans to introduce Masterclasses in cocktail making, allowing guests to create delectable drinks with award-winning recipes. He will also aim to seamlessly weave in his proficiency in wine tasting, creating an indulgent experience for guests eager to explore the world of fine beverages.  

Originally from Zimbabwe and currently residing in Cape Town, South Africa, Jordache enjoys exploring water sports in his spare time and plans to delve into Fiji's rich culture and heritage, seeking inspiration for his craft.
