Fiji can be enjoyed all year round because of its mild tropical climate. The dry season is from May – October when temperatures are cooler and there is less rainfall and humidity. Fiji has a mild average temperature of 25°C, however it can climb to above 30°C in summer (December and January).

Getting there

Centrally situated in the South Pacific, Fiji is one of the main airline hubs of the Pacific region. Fiji is serviced by major carriers in the Pacific region including its national carrier Fiji Airways, Air New Zealand, Jetstar, Korean Airlines, Qantas, Pacific Blue, Air Niugini and Aircalin.

Getting around

The resort provides airport and private transfers. Local taxis and a rental car provider also operate from the resort.

Check in and check out times

The resort has a standard check in time of 2.00pm and a standard check out time of 11.00am. Earlier check in times and late check out times are available upon request and subject to availability.

Day visitors policy

To ensure that we provide the highest level of service to our guests, the resort reserves the right to limit and decline visitors to the resort during high occupancy periods. Please ensure that you call in advance the resort on +679 673 3300 to make an enquiry regarding accessibility.

Book an airport transfer

We would be delighted to organise your airport transfers for you.

  • Private vehicle, which seats 4, is FJ$280 each way and FJ$500 return
  • Shared Airport shuttle, which seats 13, is FJ$63 per person each way and FJ$115 per person return
  • Helicopter transfers are also available to and from the resort

Please note that as the shuttle is a shared transfer you may be waiting for other guests arriving on flights at a similar time. Should you prefer not to wait, we recommend booking a private transfer.

We will require your flight information or pick up details when making your transfer booking.

Kindly note that cancelling confirmed transfers within 24 hours before your arrival will result in a penalty fee of 100% of the value of your booking.


If you will be arranging your own transport, please let us know what time you plan to arrive at the resort. This information will assist us in preparing your room for your arrival.


Wireless internet access is available throughout the resort with cabled internet also available in the accommodation rooms. Group passwords are available upon request for group internet access during your conference.


The resort is a non-smoking resort, so please refrain from smoking in your room. Smoking in your room will incur a charge of FJD200 plus any damages to restore the room to its original state. There are designated smoking areas should you wish to smoke outside of your room.

Village protocol

When visiting a village, hats and sunglasses are not to be worn as they show disrespect to the chief. Do not wear shoes inside buildings. Women must have their knees and shoulders covered and it is respectful for men to do the same. Sarongs and T-shirts are ideal for this purpose. Avoid touching a Fijian person’s head, as it is considered an insult. It is customary to take a ‘sevusevu’ (gift) of kava root. This can be purchased from local markets. You will be asked to drink kava with the villagers on arrival. It is customary to drink the bowlful in one gulp. When you have finished the contents, return the bowl and clap three times. It is impolite to sit with your legs stretched out in front of you.


ATMs are common in major urban areas and most accept the main international debit cards including Cirrus and Maestro. There are ATMs in the airport arrival hall and one on-site at the resort.


While tipping is not encouraged, it is generally accepted. Should you wish to render a gratuity, we would appreciate you charging this to your room account as we evenly distribute these amongst all resort service staff on a quarterly basis.


The local currency is the Fiji dollar ($). It is good to have a few options for accessing money – take a credit card, a debit card, some traveller’s cheques and a small amount of foreign currency. The best currencies to carry are Australian, New Zealand or US dollars, which can be exchanged at all banks; and notes must be in good condition – not torn, folded, stapled or outdated.

Credit cards

The resort accepts all major credit cards. Visa, Diners Club, China Union Pay, Amex and MasterCard are widely used. A credit card pre-authorisation is required for all guests staying at the resort. Please note a service fee of 3.5% will apply to all credit card and foreign debit card payments. You are welcome to change your preferred method of payment upon checkout to cash or local access card if you wish to avoid the service fee surcharge.

Traveller’s cheques

Please kindly note that Fiji no longer accepts traveller’s cheques.

Entry requirement

Everyone needs a valid passport to enter Fiji. You will also need to have an onward ticket and a passport valid for at least six months longer than your intended stay to get a visa. A free tourist visa for four months is granted on arrival to citizens of more than 100 countries.

Healthcare & medical

Fiji has readily available doctors in private practice, standard hospital and laboratory facilities. Private dentists, opticians and pharmacies are also available.
The distance to major hospitals are as follows:

  • Sigatoka Hospital (20 mins)
  • Nadi Hospital (45 mins)
  • Lautoka General Hospital (1.25 hours)
  • Suva – Colonial War Memorial Hospital and Suva Private Hospital (3 hours)

Water & electricity

Tap water in Natadola is safe to drink. If in doubt please utilise the two complimentary bottles of Fiji Water, located in the guest bathrooms. This is replenished daily. Electricity is a 220-240 volts, 50Hz and a 3 pin flat plug is the standard (similar to Australia and NZ). You will need a voltage converter if the application is 110 volts. The resort has a limited number of converters available at Concierge. Universal outlets for 240 volt or 110-volt hairdryers, shavers are available in the guest bathroom.

Mobile service

Several international mobile phone operators offer cellular phone services in Fiji. Mobile phone and SIM card rental services are also available.
