Sanasana Village Tour

For an insider look at traditional Fijian village life, join the Wednesday 2.00pm tours of local village, Sanasana. Sanasana Village is the closest village to the resort. Accompanied by a guide, it takes approx. 15min on foot, but if you’re not up to the walk, vehicle transfers are available. A traditional request will be made to the village headman to ask permission to look around the village. Prior to departure, guests will be informed of the cultural protocol when entering a village, and as part of the tour will partake in a kava ceremony, watch a Fijian meke and tour the village. The village tour takes about 2 hours. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring along your cameras.

The lotu (church) is very much a part of Fijian life. We invite you to come along, witnessing Fiji’s beautiful vocal abilities from the very young to the elderly with the Sanasana choir singing various Fijian hymns and chants.
