The ‘Vale ni Vanua’ has been constructed entirely from natural resources and with age-old techniques and is one of its kind in the region. Guests get to experience an authentic kava ceremony (sevusevu) and learn about Fijian history. The building’s functions include the welcoming of chiefs, discussion of official village matters and kava ceremonies. It is where villagers come together and communicate as a whole.
Our new ‘In The Know’ experience aspires for our guests to discover the authenticity and inspirational diverse culture of Fiji with a suite of activities such as our Navo Cave Tour, Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple and Sigatoka Hare Krishna Tour.
“We are thrilled at the opportunity to include another In The Know experience for our guests to share Fiji’s heritage with the world,” says Mr. Jacob Pau’u, Training Manager of the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa. “Profits from this tour are donated to Malomalo village. We are proud to contribute to the local community and assist, as we are known as the People’s Resort.”
