Australian Agents Wowed By Luxury Famil

(NATADOLA, FIJI) Tuesday 3 September 2013 – InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa recently hosted 12 Australian Professional Conference Organisers (PCO) in a successful three day famil which featured a suite of enriching and authentic cultural experiences from the resort’s Insider Collection.

“The Insider Collection is designed to enrich delegates with local knowledge and Fijian cultural experiences,” said Mr. David Pearson. “I’m thrilled to have been a part of making the famil a success, and in making the MICE experience at Natadola Bay truly unforgettable for the PCOs,” he continued.

Breakfast at the picturesque fourth hole of the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course, one of the resort’s Insider Locations, was a refreshing start to the PCO’s insider collection experiences. They were then taken on a heartwarming tour to the resort’s Insider Communities, Batiri Village and Rahmatullah Memorial School where the PCOs witnessed the renovations to the school’s classrooms and facilities, only made possible through donations given to the school by previous groups hosted by the resort.

PCOs also explored Fijian cuisine with the resort’s executive chef and learnt how to prepare the famous traditional Fijian dish, Kokoda, in a Masterchef class. The resort’s Insider Speakers; in-house marine biologists, rounded up the Insider Collection experiences by sharing intriguing information about Fiji’s reef community.

The weekend of luxury and discovery of the authentic Fijian MICE experience ended in style with a dinner inspired by the five signature elements of Natadola Bay, represented through the aromas, colours, and flavours of the dedicated cuisine.

“This PCO famil not only gave us a platform to showcase the extraordinary MICE experiences Natadola Bay has to offer, but most importantly it gave us the chance to promote Fiji as an authentic MICE destination,” said General Manager, Mr. Scott Williams.
