The elaborate celebration saw guests dressed to impress in stylish Asian themed costumes, delicious cuisine and Asian influenced décor to create an ‘oriental garden’ wonderland, with a touch of local culture as guests were welcomed on the red carpet by Fijian warriors and the rhythmic beating of the Chinese drum upon arrival.
The resort’s team showed their appreciation for industry partners’ support in 2013, and welcomed 2014 and the upcoming Chinese Lunar Year of the Horse with a toast as traditional Chinese Lion Dancers took the stage.
“This is the first celebration of its kind thrown by InterContinental Fiji and the occasion was a great success,” said General Manager, Scott Williams. “We are looking forward to the continued support of our partners and raising Fiji’s profile on the international travel market.”
A complete album of the evening can be viewed on InterContinental Fiji’s Facebook page, linked below. “Social media plays an integral role in delivering the InterContinental Fiji experience to past, present and future guests,” said Mr. Williams. “We love hearing from our guests on Facebook, Twitter and most recently, Instagram so be sure to jump online and share your story with us!”
