Fiji International Arrives In Style At Natadola Bay

(NATADOLA, FIJI) October 14 2015 – As gold sponsors of the PGA OneAsia Fiji International, InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa welcomed the inaugural tour to Natadola Bay with a grand gala dinner for three hundred exclusive guests last night at the resort. Attending VIPs included Fiji’s President, Prime Minister, many renowned golf professionals vying for the FJD$1.54 million prize purse, including Vijay Singh, Matt Kuchar, Ryan Fox, defending champion Steven Jeffress as well as Fiji Rugby 7s players.

The event commenced with a spectacular performance by the young and vibrant VOU Music & Dance School, followed by the official welcome speech and official opening by the Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama.

Proudly supported by the Fijian Government, the Fiji International is expected to produce a multi-million dollar boost for the Fijian economy, in addition to flow on benefits including the growth of the game in the region.

This year, Fiji International and Rugby Union joined forces to promote both Golf and Rugby in the region to increase awareness of both sports and boost interest. Spectators can look forward to meeting Brand Ambassadors, Fiji 7s Coach; Ben Ryan, Fiji Rugby 7s team World Champions Osea Kolinisau (Captain) and Emosi Mulevoro (Fly Half) as they make public appearances during the tournament week at Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course; making it a great day out on one of Fiji’s most stunning golf courses.
