Ranshu Malini has recently been appointed to the role of Business Development Manager – MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conference & Events) and will be responsible for the daily management of the MICE and Weddings sales team and to generate new business for the Resort. Ranshu re-joined InterContinental Fiji in 2012 as Conference and Events Manager and has been an integral part since in supporting and managing the Conference and Events team.
“I am extremely excited about this new opportunity and challenge,” says Ms. Malini. “I look forward to driving and generating revenue within our Conference, Events and Weddings segments. As a growing segment, we will continue to develop the MICE market setting a leading benchmark within our industry ensuring enriching experiences for our guests and making Fiji a preferred destination for conferences and events.”
As a result of this appointment, there have been further developments within the Conference & Events team. Sue Gavidi-Lealea joined the team 2 years ago as Conference and Events Executive and has now been appointed Acting Conference and Events Manager. To support our IHG “Room to Grow” within the team, we have promoted Risiva Vuetibau to the role of Conference and Events Executive. Ms. Vuetibau has been with the Resort since opening in 2009 and since has held positions in Housekeeping, Reservations and Sales & Marketing, allowing her the knowledge and skills to be well versed in the IHG ways.
With a team committed to excellence, the MICE team aims to take the resort’s Meetings and Events market to greater heights and to continue to distinguish InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa as an ideal destination for international and local groups to host their events.
“We are very committed to developing our talent within the Sales & Marketing team at InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa,” advised Area Director of Sales & Marketing (Fiji/Vanuatu), Robert Miletic. “We have ambitious plans in 2016 and we can only be successful if we have a team as passionate and dedicated as the one at InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa.
‘Room to Grow’ IHG supports and develops their people to pursue significant careers. This is achieved through personal development plans, structured learning, on-the-job reviews, and the IHG job referral program.
